Hometown: I’ve never left Grubbers Nubbin or Castle Grotteskew. That’s what happens when you take over the family business.
Monster power:I create the best half-alive monsters ever! Vampire blood, Essence of Evil, Werewolf extract…I’m not scared of anything, and I create the most monstrous creations!
Favorite color: Red. Red smoke is a sure sign of a monstrous almost-life!

Nickname: Name? My name is…um. I don’t have a name! You can call me CREATURE!
Hometown: I was created right here in Castle Grotteskew! My BEST FRIEND Stitch Head saved me from being a TERRIBLE monster!
Monster power: Mad Professor Erasmus used werewolf extract during my creation. Now the moon turns me into a WEREWOLF! It’s REALLY weird!
Monster power: Clouds that are so dark BLUE the FULL MOON doesn’t shine through. No WEREWOLVES here!

Stitch Head

In the frightening, maze-like dungeon laboratory deep within Castle Grotteskew, mad scientist Professor Erasmus brings his bizarre experiments to life. His first creation, Stitch Head, has long been forgotten. But when a traveling circus ringmaster promises to make him a star, Stitch Head is torn between his almost-life in the castle and the promise of fame outside its walls. Before he can decide what to do, Castle Grotteskew and its inhabitants (living and almost-living) are in danger: the professor’s latest monstrous creation has smashed its way to freedom, and Stitch Head may be the only one who can stop it.

Mad Professor Erasmus has long forgotten his first creation, Stitch Head, leaving the lonely patchwork monster to take care of Castle Grotteskew all by himself. But when the professor is kidnapped by crusty pirates, Stitch Head decides to risk his almost-life to save his creator. He'll need a little help from his new friends, the Creature and Arabella, to learn to embrace his inner pirate and sail the seven seas in pursuit of his missing mentor.

Guy Bass is an award-winning writer, author, and stuff. In 2010 he won the Blue Peter Book Award for Most Fun Book With Pictures for Dinkin Dings and The Frightening Things and has twice won the Portsmouth Book Award (Shorter Novel) for his Dinkin Dings series. Guy grew up dreaming of being a superhero—he even had a Spider-Man costume. The costume doesn’t fit anymore, so Guy now contents himself with writing children’s books and drawing the occasional picture. Guy lives in London with his wife and no dog, yet.
